Fitness Training Basics

People all over the world are becoming more and more health conscious, which is a good thing. Teen smoking rates are down, healthy food choices are easy to find, and protein powders don’t taste like chalk.  It seems like more people are finally getting it – that the most important thing in life  is to keep oneself in shape and fit, and to enjoy things in life. How does that old saying go? “It is health that is real wealth.”

 In spite of all the kinds of treatments that have been flooding the market, most people still trust the basic natural way of keeping in shape, i.e., by exercising regularly and maintaining a working routine. Exercise helps increase muscle in your body, and more muscle equals more calories burned … As we age, the body loses its muscles and the metabolism of the body slows down gradually, which means the calories that are consumed are not being burned, which results in weight and fat gain. So to keep the metabolism from slowing down and not letting the fat concentrate in the body, you should perform some fitness training that combines weight training and cardio exercise.
